Janis Lynn Price, 66, of Powell, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013. Janis was born October 2, 1947 to Arthur and Lida (Bloome) Fahrenkrog in Downer's Grove, Illinois, and was the younger of two children. In 1965, she graduated from Bloomington High School near Chicago. Janis attended University of Missouri where she was an active member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and graduated in 1969 with a degree in Mathematics. While in college she met the love of her life, Richard Eugene Price. They married shortly after graduation in 1969, and thereafter moved to Bamberg, Germany where her husband proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Janis was a dedicated wife and mother who always put her family first. She spent countless hours supporting her children in all their endeavors. She enjoyed playing tennis and bowling. She worked tirelessly in her extensive flower gardens. Janis also loved to spend time with her golden retrievers and actively competed in dog confirmation and agility trials where she achieved numerous CPE and AKC titles. Janis is survived by her sons, Rick (Rebecca) Price, Mike (Tina) Price and Brad (Courtney) Price; grandchildren, Audrey, Aaron and Hallie Price, with another grandson on the way; brother Don (Maria) Fahrenkrog; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Jan was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Rick. The family will greet friends from 1:00-4:00p.m. on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2013 (TODAY) at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 West Olentangy St., Powell, Ohio 43065 (614)-792-1471.
