Connie Jo Shelton Harsh

 Connie Jo Harsh, 42, of Urbana, formerly of Bloomington, died at 11:35 p.m. Sunday (June 25, 1989) at Mercy Hospital, Urbana, after a long illness.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mittendorf-Calvert-Morgan Funeral Home, Champaign, the Rev. J.K. Jones officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Urbana.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight and from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Harsh was born April 2, 1947, in Bloomington, a daughter of James H. and Betty Jo Cronic Shelton. She married Phillip J. Harsh on June 18, 1966, in Bloomington. He survives.

Other survivors include her parents, 328 Rowe Drive, Bloomington; one son, David James Harsh, at home; two daughters, Jennifer Lynne Harsh and Sara Lynne Harsh, both at home; and one sister, Linda L. Dennison, rural Bloomington.

Mrs. Harsh, who was a 1965 graduate of Bloomington High School, was a member of Windsor Road Christian Church, Champaign.

Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice, the Windsor Road Christian Church Building Fund or Missionary Fund, or to the Empty Tomb Inc., Champaign.

Connie, you were one of my best friends in High School. We worked together, played together...even after you married Phil.  I was devastated when you passed away. You will always be in my heart!!!  <3

One of my closest friends Connie.  Remember a slumber party at your house.  I think of that now and then, just sort of floats through.  Will always miss you.
