BLOOMINGTON - The funeral of Larry Denniston, 56, of Bloomington, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington. Pastor B.G. Nevitt will officiate. He will be cremated after the service. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the memorial home.

He died at 1:06 p.m. Tuesday (April 22, 2003) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

He was born on Aug. 31, 1946, at Bloomington, to Bernice Denniston-LeMay. She survives in Indiana. He was adopted and raised by Edward and Mary (Lee) Denniston. He married Peggy Trunnell on April 25, 1992, at Normal. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Cassandra and Jessica Denniston, both of Indiana; two stepsons, Mike (Jamie) Petersen and Joey Petersen, both of Bloomington; his father and mother-in-law, Russ and Barb Trunnell, Stanford; brother-in-law, Louis Lee (Brenda) Trunnell, Stanford; and five grandchildren, Jacob, Alexandria, Haleigh, Madison and Kennedy.

His adoptive parents and two brothers preceded him in death.

He was a truck driver of 33 years for CRH Recycling in Bloomington.

He attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Decatur. He was a member of the Illinois National Guard.

He was an avid collector of Motorcycle memorabilia and loved to ride his Harley with his friends.
