Really sorry to hear about Peggy.  She and I were really good friends in HS and had a great time together.  I was fortunate to have known her and her entire family.  Great people.  I was also fortunate to have nice conversations with her both in the St Louis area when I visited and a number of BHS reunions.  Anyone know what she died from?

Peggy was one of my oldest and dearest friends.  It seems like I knew her most of my life since the Shirk family were our neighbors in two places - White's Place and Cherrywood Lane.  When I moved to St. Louis in 1977, Peggy was already there with her husband, Joe, and child, Rusty.  We played tennis together in St. Louis and saw each other often (over a 25 year span!).  She had a rare blood disease which caused her  to have a stroke in 2013.  She finally succumbed to heart failure in February, 2014.  Peggy was a beautiful, kind person who gave generously of her time to many good causes.

Peggy, you were one of the sweetest girls I have ever met and had a huge heart full of love for everyone.  It was so good to visit with you at your Grandmother's visitation....even under the circumstances.  Your grandmother, Jessie Shirk Nelson, was a very good friend of mine and I will always miss you both and think of you with love.
