Phillip A. Eddings

 Phillip Arnold Eddings, 47, of R.R. 4, Bloomington, died at 7:18 p.m. Tuesday (July 18, 1995) at his home. No foul play is suspected. He will be cremated. There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. Friday at Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, Bloomington, the Rev. Miley Palmer officiating. Visitation will be after the service. Memorials may be made to the Young Men's Club Foundation for Youth Opportunity Scholarships or any organization of the donor's choice.

Mr. Eddings was born Sept. 12, 1947, at Wichita, Kan., a son of Arnold and Wilma Janzen Eddings. He married Janet K. Birkland Dec. 28, 1985, in Safety Harbor, Fla. She survives.

Also surviving are his parents at 1313 N. Clinton Blvd., Bloomington; one sister, Sandra Dralle, and one brother, J. Michael Eddings, both of Bloomington; a niece, Katie Dralle, Indianapolis, Ind.; and a nephew, Joshua Eddings, Bloomington.

Mr. Eddings was employed at GATX as a quality assurance manager.

He graduated from Bloomington High School in 1965 and the University of Illinois in 1969.

Phil was the absolute best drummer/percussionist we had at BHS and would help me practice.
