PEORIA, Ariz. — Laura “Torchy” Lewis Epperson, 64, Peoria, Ariz., died Nov. 30, 2011, in Surprise, Ariz.
She was born March 4, 1947, in Bloomington, to Archie and Lucille Lewis. She graduated from Bloomington High School in 1965. She married Aaron Epperson of LeRoy in Bloomington on Jan 11, 1968.
She is survived by her husband, Aaron, Peoria Ariz.; son, Aric (Michelle) Epperson, Surprise Ariz.; daughters, Ann (Dan) Jenkins, Peoria, Ariz., and Amy Epperson, Avon Conn.; and seven grandchildren.
Living in Bloomington-Normal is a sister, Judy Wills; a nephew, Jairon Wills; and a niece, Susi Lucas.
She worked as a medical assistant to several doctors in the Phoenix area.

Torchie was just a blast!! She was always full of laughter and fun and so easy to be around. That red hair, of course, earned her the nickname of "Torchie". She was a great gal!!!
