Norma Mohr (Fuerst)

BLOOMINGTON - Norma Jean Fuerst, 62, of Lincoln, formerly of Bloomington, passed away Thursday (Sept. 10, 2009) at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln.

Cremation rites were accorded and burial will be at a later date in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. There will be no services. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association in her name. Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, Bloomington, is handling arrangements.

Norma was born on March 30, 1947, in Bloomington, to Orville E. and Geraldine Marie Edmunds Mohr. She married Thomas Clyde Fuerst on June 17, 1994, at Colorado Springs, Colo. He survives in Lincoln.

Also surviving are Thomas's three daughters; an aunt, Minerva Lierman, Colorado; a cousin, Misty Keyoth; and her family of Colorado and California, the Edmunds Family and close friends; Rhonda Ferree, Colorado, and Geneva Day, Mary Ellen Franklin, Janet Logan, Carol Rose, Sue Wingett, Sheri Bridges and Loren Carter, all of Illinois.

She enjoyed selling Avon and collecting everything, including stamps, rocks, Yogi Bear and Brewmania.

She had worked at Eureka Williams for many years.

Kay Muir (Burpee)

What a sweet person. Norma was in my homeroom. She always wore a sweet smile and was always so willing to help anyone who was in need. I am so very sorry that she is gone. She is enjoying peace and blessings! Blessings to you, Norma. Kay Muir Burpee

Rae Ann Robb (Geske)

Norma was a good friend from grade school through high school. I was at her house a lot in our grade school and Jr High years and knew both her mother and father....they were all good people!!  I remember when Ron and I got married back in '67 Norma was at our wedding, 9" of snow and all. She gave us a lovely quilt that we had and used until just a few years ago. By then it had some holes in it as it had withstood many years of use. God Bless You, Norma.....you are missed!!!  Rae
