Kenneth E. Weber

BLOOMINGTON -- Kenneth E. Weber, 55, of El Paso, formerly of Bloomington, died at 7:21 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 31, 2003) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

His funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, both in Bloomington, the Rev. Gregg Petri officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Community Cancer Center, Normal.

Mr. Weber was born Oct. 22, 1947, at Normal, the son of Harley Francis and Lilian Wiseman Weber. He married Rosemary Reinholz on Oct. 22, 1966, at Bloomington. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Kenneth Weber, and two daughters, Melissa (Matt) Kerner and Melinda Weber, all of El Paso; two grandsons, Jacob and Joshua Kerner; two brothers, Ron (Ellen) Weber, Palos Hills, and Gary (Val) Weber, Manito; two sisters, Karen (Elio) Francavia, Rome, Italy, and Kathy Williams, Normal; and his father-in-law, John Reinholz, Bloomington.

His parents preceded him in death.

Ken was a carpenter and served as treasurer for Carpenters Local 63 for many years. He worked for Felmley-Dickerson Company for 38 years where he was a superintendent and project manager. He was an avid golfer and a member of the El Paso Golf Club. He also was a member of the American Hungarian Club, Bloomington, and St. Mary's Church in El Paso.

Sandy Weber (Bumpus)

Kenny was in my homeroom throughout high school. Our homeroom was the band room...a GREAT homeroom and space to spend each morning before the day started.   My memories of him are of a really nice, quiet guy...probably turned out to be a really great adult.  He died on Sept. 2, 2003.
